Manayunk home staging

13 Sep

Hi everyone!  We’ve been on quite the busy streak for the past few months.  It’s been so exciting to stage houses for new clients all over the city.  Although it can be exhausting at times (try moving a full truck of furniture until 1 am) I couldn’t be happier!

One of the things that always keeps me going (besides Diet Coke) is my passion for design and furniture.  I love how the look  of a staging can just unfold when I find the right inspirational piece or focal point to work around.

A great example of an inspired staging is this rehabbed twin in the rolling hills of Manayunk.  I was inspired by these two abstract car photo prints that I found at HomeGoods.  When I saw them I knew they would really set the mood in this home.  This house, although it has been completely renovated, carries a hip retro heir about it.  I think it has something to do with the exposed brick wall in the dining room.

Staging is not always easy and sometimes I miss the mark.  When I “finished” staging this property the client and I agreed, it felt empty and bare.  So I had to do a little reworking.  I brought in a rectangle dining table instead of a round one  and the added a few more chairs.  I put a rug under the table and created a dining space that feels separate in this open room. Voila, problem solved!

This twin has three very nice sized bedrooms, but the master wasn’t showing to its potential without furniture.  I brought in a bed and a dresser to show the buyer just how much you can do with the space.  There is plenty of room for more furniture but the goal is to guide the buyer, not crowd the space.

This is a great home in the heart of Manayunk.  Walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping (check out Ashes a BYOB cigar bar that just opened on Main Street..LOVE).  Not to mention the train station is a stones throw away and center city is a 15 min drive.  This is my neighborhood, so maybe I’m biased, but I would scoop this home up in a heartbeat if I was in the market.  Learn more about this staged property and schedule a viewing with Kathy Gilmore of Keller Williams Realty.

XOXO
