Funky Painted Chandelier

19 Jan

Sometimes I just have to interject a fun creative project in here.  Last week I found this beauty at a local thrift store.  Poor thing was so mangled it didn’t even have a price.  Score for me!  The cashier called her a 5er and I called her mine.

I had a vision of bright blue as soon as I laid eyes on her.  After a little cleaning and replacing a couple missing light tubes she was ready for her close up.  I used a baby blue satin spray paint and did about two coats.  I’m in love!

For about $15.00 I now have a unique chandelier in a room that had a broken dangling light “fixture”.  This is still a work in progress.  For my next trick I would like to add some “flair” in the way of crystals and a fabric chain cover.  I’ll make sure to update pictures as I make changes.
