Queens Village Philadelphia Home Staging

24 Mar

Spring has sprung and houses are hitting the market left and right.  This week I helped a local builder make his gorgeous rehab in Queens Village Philadelphia shine!  Staging this property was no easy task.  We staged the entire four bedroom 2.5 bath home.

A property this size takes about two days to stage and a couple of days prep to get ready.  So I’m pretty exhausted!  This property has some pretty awesome features.  Although it still has old charm it also has some amazing modern amenities.  One of which I’m considering for my own home.  The IBus wall dock for your ipod or iphone links up to speakers in the kitchen as well as the master bedroom.  I’m a huge music person so I fell in love with this immediately.

For the wine enthusiast there is a wine cooler built into the island and a spacious kitchen to cook up some great food.  What more could you ask for?  Oh a roof deck?  There’s one of those too :)

Check it out and let me know what you think.  If you are interested in this property email amanda@sunflowercreationsonline.com and I’ll get you to the right person.

Just finished up a property in Port Richmond so stay tuned for more posts.  Thanks for reading and leave a comment or subscribe to the blog if you feel so inclined.

Today is a rainy dreary day.  Strangely enough I quite enjoy days like this.  To me it is an excuse to work in sweat pants (not me, I would never) and to slack off a little.  Not to mention hot tea is so much better on days like today.  Despite the weather I can’t help but feel so blessed.

When things aren’t going our way it’s easy to forget how great our lives really are.  I was really humbled yesterday after reading Deserving Decor’s blog post.  They discussed the issue of child homelessness in our country and highlighted a 60 minutes segment on the issue.    If you have time take a look.

I think homelessness resonates with me because I understand the role a home plays in our lives.  I spend so much of my time helping people create environments where they can call home, spend time with family/friends,  lay their heads at night and feel most comfortable.  So the idea of not having a place to call your home, especially as a vulnerable child is heart wrenching to me.    Just something I’ve been thinking about that I felt compelled to share.

I also wanted to share some photos of one of the two (see Queens Village Home Staging) stagings from last week.  This is the property featured on KYW.  It’s ground up new construction located in South Philadelphia and let me tell you it is DECKED OUT!  These builders pulled out all the stops.  We’re talking maple hardwood throughout, finished basement, wine cooler, EP Henry patio,  an unbelievable master bath and a 600 sq roof deck with views of the city, lights and electric.  Yeah, I KNOW.

Trust me, if I could buy it…I would.  My favorite part about this property the kitchen.  Maybe it’s because I got to pick the back splash :)   Take a look around and if you want to buy it (and let me live with you) shoot me an email amanda@sunflowercreationsonline.com

What a crazy two weeks I’ve had.  Although I love some down time I truly love being in the field staging, decorating and doing all the things that I’m so passionate about.  Staging houses is what keeps me going even when running a business isn’t always easy.

Last week I learned that competition is tough in the city of Brotherly Love.  Unfortunately ‘bullies’ don’t disappear when you get out of school.  I won’t get into details but I learned a couple of things about myself as a business owner and as a human being.  I’ve always known I’m the non-confrontational type.  So when someone comes at me it’s my inkling to take it personally, to be deeply hurt and not to retaliate.  I’ve always been taught to treat others like I would like to be treated.

I’m not saying I’m going to be a pushover, but I have goals and plans for the future of my company.  My focus needs to and will stay on those goals and I won’t let anyone distract me from those things I’m working hard to accomplish.  My clients, friends and family know who I am and love me for those reasons.  That’s all that matters.

Whew, feeling much better already :)

Moving on…this house is gorgeous.  I staged the entry, office, living room, kitchen, dining area, bathrooms and master bedroom.  I can’t pick one thing I love about this property so I picked 2!  I love love love the high ceilings/giant bay window in the living room.  Absolutely stunning.  I can picture curling up and reading a book in that little nook.  The second would have to be the master bathroom, see for yourself.

Hope you love it and as always if you have any questions about home staging email amanda@sunflowercreationsonline.com

Home Staging Pennsport

Last week was another wonderfully hectic week filled with two vacant stagings and a radio interview with KYW!  With that being said I am way behind on sharing our most recent stagings.  This property was staged two weeks ago in the Queens Village area of Philadelphia and I’ve been so excited to share it with you.

It is a little more traditional than what I’ve done in the past so I had a great time setting it up.  More importantly I’ve had two amazing side chairs in storage that I have been dying to use and this house was perfect for them.

I staged the entry, office, kitchen, dining and living rooms.  A simple staging like this is a great way to show buyers what the property has to offer without breaking the bank.  While I think it is important to stage bedrooms sometimes it’s not completely necessary.  In the case of this property the bedrooms are all nicely sized and because of budget constraints staging the main living area made the most sense.

I absolutely love the open flow of the kitchen into the dining and living rooms.  This would be the perfect home for a family with children or a young couple.  If you want to find out more about this property check out the listing.  As always if you have any questions about home staging or need help selling your home email amanda@sunflowercreationsonline.com.

Roxborough Home Staging

1 Mar

This is a little over due and I’m pooped after another start to a crazy week.  But I had to share one of my stagings from last week.  This is a super cute rehab in Roxborough that I had the pleasure of staging.  The investor did a great job and the kitchen back splash…to-die-for.  Check it out!
